Always admired Liverpool Town Hall but never been inside? Well make the most of a series of open days and find out more about this city centre gem.
Members of the public can head inside from 10am to 5pm (last entrance is at 4.45pm) each day until Thursday 25 August.
Entrance is free and there are guided tours taking place each day with Local Historian Steve Binns. The first tour starts at 11am followed by a second tour at 2pm.
There is a small fee of £3.00 per person to join on one of the guided tours (places are limited so we advise visitors to pre-book).
Places can be booked for the tours either over the telephone (0151 233 4169), electronically (town.hall@liverpool.gov.uk) or in person at the front desk in the main front reception area.
We have one exhibition located in the East Reception – Threading Dream Exhibition of textiles and embroidery from The Sreepur Village in Bangladesh and also from other rural areas. All the beautiful work is created in adverse poverty by amazing women. There will be handmade cards, silk scarves and other gifts for sale. All proceeds go to the 600 children and 150 destitute mothers who live at Sreepur, plus the Street Children project – www.thesreepurvillage.org.
