Motorists and residents are being warned of temporary traffic lights on Smithdown Road due to road improvements.
From Monday 25 January, for approximately 3 weeks, a four way temporary traffic lighting system will be in place at the junction of Smithdown Road/Gainsborough Road.
There will be reverse lane closures in Gainsborough Road during this 3 week period.
The restrictions will allow work to be undertaken renewing gullies/drains, ducting, footpaths and kerbs.
From 1 February, Smithdown Road will be closed from the junction at Ullet Road to the junction at Gainsborough Road between 7.00pm and 6.00am for a period of approximately 1 week.
It is part of a £3.5 million scheme taking place until August which will see highways maintenance and resurfacing, junction improvements and improved crossing facilities.
