Transport roadshow proves popular

About 100 residents attended a customer roadshow about public transport attended by bus and train operators.

The Friday Café at St David’s which was set up using some of the Mayoral Neighbourhood Fund allocation for local councillors, Frank Hont, Jeremy Wolfson and Liz Parsons has run successfully for more than three years and has introduced a monthly community event on the first Friday of each month.

Representatives from Arriva, Merseyrail, Northern Rail and Merseytravel were at the roadshow

Councilor Wolfson, who is also a Member of the Merseytravel Committee, said: “This was probably the highest attendance we have had since we started these events.

“There is clearly a lot of interest in transport issues and this was good opportunity for residents to discuss them with operators and to be given information and advice.”

  • The next St David’s Church Friday Café event will be a Winter Warmer, which will be taking place on Friday 4tNovember (10am – 12 noon).customer-transport-roadshow-jpg3customer-transport roadshow-2
