Building on the success of the Urban-Run events held across the North West the 1st Liverpool Urban-Run is being held at Wavertree Sports Park, Liverpool on Sunday 6th October 2013.
Organised by The Sports Enterprise Challenge, supported by Liverpool City Council, Wavertree Sports Park & Lifestyles Fitness Centres, the distinctive 5k race is based on a format made popular in New York and Chicago in which competitors negotiate a series of man-made and natural obstacles around the Urban Park setting.

The race is be open to anyone over 14yrs and can be run by individuals or as a group with your friends, family or work colleagues. Over 500 entrants are expected from all over Merseyside, many of whom will be running for various charitable causes. The nominated charity for the event is the Liverpool Lord Mayors Fund.
Founder of the Urban-Run in the UK is John Dwan, Director of The Sports Enterprise Challenge, John says “The whole ethos of our organisation is to get people involved in sport in new and exciting ways.
