West Derby Farmers’ market makes a welcome return after its Winter break on April 5 – Grand National Day.
The market takes place in West Derby Village, by the Croxteth Park gates (9am to 2pm).
There will be a number of stalls selling a variety of local produce.
As well as the market itself there will be tours of the 50 metres high tower of St Marys Church with refreshments and children’s activities in the church.
And another historic part of the Village – the Elizabethan courthouse – will also be opened for tours between 10am and 2pm.
Farmers markets will take place in the village on the first Saturday of the month.
Local Councillor Pam Thomas said: “The market is always a very popular part of life in West Derby and with it being Grand National day it is a safe bet that that you will have a great time there.”
