• A farmers market and food court
• Pets Corner and dog show
• Victorian funfair rides
• A bandstand with live music performances
• Sports and fitness displays and taster sessions
• Children’s attractions
• A military zone featuring vehicle and displays of equipment
There is also a 5k family fun run at 10:30am.
Walton Festival is being organised with support from Liverpool City Council and local housing associations LHT and LMH.
Councillor Roy Gladden, Chair of the Walton Festival organising committee said: “Walton Festival is now firmly re-established as an annual event for the local community.
“We consult with schools, community organisations, local businesses and residents about what else they would like to see at the festival, so it’s very much their event.
“There is already a buzz in the local community about it and with the sun set to shine it will be a great day.”
The event will be opened by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Christine Banks.
