A coastal flood alert has been issued for the Mersey estuary for tomorrow (Friday 3 January) when a combination of high tides and strong winds could lead to waves over-topping the waterfront.
The Spring Tide will be at its highest at around 12:13 pm when it is anticipated to reach six metres.
