A Winter Craft Fair with a Christmas theme was the final event of the year at the Friday Morning Community Café, St David’s Church in Childwall on December 1.
The Friday Café was set up using some of the Childwall councillors’ – Frank Hont, Liz Parsons and Jeremy Wolfson – Mayoral Neighbourhood Fund and holds events on the first Friday of every month, and has done for more than three years.
The event was held at the Gladstone Hall, St David’s Church on Rocky Lane, and included a themed floral display courtesy of the Adult Learning Service.
Councillor Parsons said: “The craft fair was a great opportunity to buy gifts from local artists and crafters and, of course, an ideal way to get to know more people who live in this neighbourhood.”
As well as craft activities there were homemade cakes and sweets and toiletries to buy along with a free raffle. Father Christmas also made an appearance!
