There’s plenty to keep the youngsters amused too as the Children and Families area will see the park transformed into a holiday-themed zone. Open on Sunday and Monday between 1-6pm, the area will be inspired by sponsors Liverpool John Lennon Airport with a raft of activities from arts and craft workshops, story-telling, sea-side themed street theatre to face-painting and even a sandcastle making competition with an amazing sky-high prize.

There will also be a gigantic five metre high sand castle housing a specially commissioned audio-visual installation by local artists Friend of Foe – so why not give your senses a treat and really get into the holiday spirit as seaside images and sounds play out all around you…

And for festival-goers who need a bit of ‘me-time’ head on over to the Calm Collective holistic tent for a nice relaxing massage.
