“The people of Norris Green continue to show, time and time again, that they are resilient, hardworking and caring, whilst creating a true sense of community spirit.
“Over the years, I have had the pleasure of building meaningful connections with local community groups across Norris Green and witnessing the incredible ways they support families, young people and minority groups. Their dedication, compassion and determination make a real difference to the lives of so many people, and I am excited to see these partnerships continue to grow.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to recognise, support and celebrate all of the wonderful things that happen within our area. As we begin taking the next steps, welcoming members on board and creating opportunities for local listening events, it is already clear that the future holds exciting opportunities for collaboration, celebration and showcasing the pride that exists within Norris Green.”
Dan Carden, the MP for Liverpool Walton said: “With the appointment of Ann-Marie as Chair, the Pride in Place programme is off to a fantastic start. Strong communities are built when local people have a real stake in the future of the places they call home. I look forward to supporting Ann-Marie and the wider community to ensure this investment is led by, and delivers real benefits for, the people of Norris Green.”
