A series of drop-in events for tenants in the private rented housing sector who are facing issues take place this month.
In April 2022, the council’s Landlord Licensing team launched a new scheme in 16 wards across the city with the worst private rented housing conditions.
The scheme aims to drive up standards and keep tenants safe by tackling fire and electrical safety issues, excess cold and damp and preventing anti-social behaviour, and reaching out to tenants and supporting organisations to promote the scheme and work of the Private Sector Housing service.
