Exclusive behind-the-scenes Cunard Building tours back by popular demand

Exclusive guided tours of the Cunard Building, one of Liverpool’s world-famous Three Graces, will return this weekend.

Following a popular, limited run in late 2025, the Grade II* listed building is set to reopen its doors for an extended series of heritage tours from Sunday 15 February.

Running until the end of May, tours are available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with tickets priced at £15 per person.

Led by Liverpool’s heritage experts, these intimate tours have a maximum 15 people per group and invite visitors to explore areas of the Cunard Building that are normally closed to the public, including:

• The historic basement, once a bustling operations hub
• The atmospheric former Arrivals Lounge
• The elegant Board Rooms used during the golden age of transatlantic travel.

Visitors will discover stories of shipping legends, architectural detail, and the building’s role in Liverpool’s global maritime identity.

Private tours can also be accommodated upon request – please contact Heritage@liverpool.gov.uk.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Liverpool’s most important landmarks.

“The Three Graces form an iconic part of our world-famous skyline, and the Cunard Building has its own unique story to tell.

“These tours offer a rare chance to discover more about this vital part of our city’s history.”

Alan Smith, Head of Heritage, Liverpool, said: “We are thrilled to invite the public inside one of Liverpool’s most historically significant buildings again, following a successful limited run of tours last year.

“The Cunard Building is an icon of our waterfront, and these tours offer a rare opportunity to explore its hidden spaces, learn about its remarkable story, and experience the legacy of the Cunard Line in a completely new way.

“We’re proud to open our doors once again and share this important heritage with the city.”
