Liverpool’s Christmas Markets are back!

Get ready for some festive treats, crafts and winter fairground rides at the Liverpool Christmas Market.

It officially opens on November 18th and will run until December 24th, with extended opening hours from 11am to 10pm every day, except Christmas Eve, when it will close at 5pm.

This year, you’ll find a variety of food options to suit every taste, including a few new choices such as traditional Scouse, fiery Mexican, festive pizza, local fish and chips and chocolate fountains. You’ll also discover nine new craft and gift traders, offering jewellery, glass-blown tree ornaments, hand-crafted leather journals, woollen wears, unique art, creative gifts and much more.

Make sure you follow all of the festive fun on Instagram @liverpoolchristmasmarket to see craft and food trader spotlights, competitions and updates so you can make a note of some favourites when planning your visit!

The Market will once again be spread in a U-shaped formation around the iconic St George’s Hall, creating a festive atmosphere in the heart of the city. You won’t be able to miss the giant Ferris Wheel, gorgeous vintage carousel, exhilarating snow slide and brightly coloured Santa Land. There are games to be played, toys to be won, and this year, an exciting treasure hunt in collaboration with the Empire Theatre’s Wizard Of Oz.

If you are looking for a cosy place to enjoy a drink at the Liverpool Christmas Market, you will be spoilt for choice. Whether you prefer a traditional hot cider, mulled wine, or beer, or you want to try something different like a hot chocolate, coffee, bubble tea, or soft drinks we have something for everyone. You can relax at the Tipi Bar with warm fires, admire the views from the iconic Windmill Bar, experience the festive vibe at the Alpine Bar, Party at the Bavarian Bar or explore the smaller barrel and chalet bars dotted throughout the market. Whichever you choose, celebrating at the Christmas Market is always merry and bright.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing, Councillor Harry Doyle said: “When Liverpool’s Christmas market opens it’s officially the countdown to Christmas!

“The popularity of this festive offering grows year on year, and it’s fast becoming an annual tradition for people to spend time with friends and family at the markets, whether it’s buying some stocking fillers, indulging in a Christmas tipple, or letting youngsters enjoy the fairground rides. With the backdrop of St George’s Hall, it’s one of the most stunning Christmas experiences around we look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors and helping them get into the festive spirit.”
