Market at Cunard Building during River of Light

A special market will take place in Cunard Building during this year’s River of Light.

Following its hugely successful three-night run last year, for 2026 it has been extended to eight nights, operating from 4pm – 9pm daily from Friday 23 October – Friday 30 October.

There will be around 35 stalls each evening made up of local independent traders selling an array of products including tasty treats, beautiful art and craft, bespoke jewellery, exclusive gifts plus much more.

The market is free to enter and access is via the Strand entrance (an accessible entrance is also available at the Brunswick Street side).

There is still limited availability for traders who would like to exhibit at the Cunard Building market – simply email liverpoolmarkets@liverpool.gov.uk to register your interest.

Cunard Building is on the River of Light trail and will host an artwork titled Coloured Peonies.

Cunard Building tours

Visitors can also book a behind-the-scenes tour of Cunard Building during River of Light, giving people the chance to explore the hidden history of the Grade II* listed building, including the luggage room and first-class safe.
