Queens Drive will remain closed between Dovedale Road and North Mossley Hill Road to both vehicles and pedestrians whilst groundwork investigations are underway to assess safety and identify any remedial work required.
In the meantime, we have put in place a Traffic Regulation Order which gives us permission to close the road until 6 October. Please note this does not necessarily reflect how long that section of road will be shut for, it just gives us permission to keep it closed until that date.
The Council is mindful that the closure will inevitably cause disruption to schools in the local area, particularly at the start and end of the school day, and we are writing to schools with advice for staff and parents and will also be issuing advice on our social media platforms.
