Commissioning callout: Home – A Celebration of Place

Culture Liverpool is inviting artists and arts organisations to submit bold, imaginative proposals to bring vibrant, place-based residencies to life across the city as part of its exciting new Creative Neighbourhoods programme: Home – A Celebration of Place.

This ambitious programme champions creativity, community and cultural achievement. Culture Liverpool is looking for visionary artists with a strong track record of high-quality delivery and meaningful impact – those who can create work that sparks joy, pride and a powerful sense of shared celebration, rooted in the unique character of Liverpool’s neighbourhoods.

Home is about more than artistic output – it’s about connection. Culture Liverpool is seeking projects that are collaborative, inclusive and community-led, placing co-creation and shared ownership at their heart. Proposals can be new ideas or existing concepts ready to evolve, from any creative discipline, with a clear commitment to engaging local people in the process.

Successful commissions will deliver artistic excellence at scale, combining compelling storytelling, striking visual impact and emotional resonance. These project will create unforgettable moments – bringing communities together, celebrating identity, and strengthening pride in place.
Above all, this programme asks artists to explore a simple but profound question: What makes a place a home?

Culture Liverpool encourages proposals that are representative, responsive and inclusive, reflecting the diversity of Liverpool’s communities and helping to build long-term cultural confidence, cohesion and creativity across the city.
