Liverpool City Council is carrying out emergency works at a property at Walton Breck Road and Oakfield Road after a safety issue was identified by its Building Control team. As a result, a temporary road and footpath closure has been in place from approximately 3pm on Thursday 3 September.
The works are being undertaken under Section 78 of the Building Act 1984, which allows local authorities to take immediate action where a building poses a danger to the public.
At this stage, the Council expects the restrictions to remain in place while the necessary safety works are carried out and it is possible they could continue into the weekend.
